An armed female threat with relaxed, unhurried body language and bulky layers. It trains the response to what the hands are doing when nothing else about the subject signals danger.
She looks unbothered. The cigarette and the slouch read as casual, and the layers of clothing hide the shape of her chest. The muzzle is the only thing in the picture pointed with any intent.
A hard-living, unhurried threat. It trains the shooter to respond to what the hands are doing even when the body language is relaxed. In a mixed deck it is one of the figures that must be engaged.
Two kill zones are printed on this target. Both are placed on this figure's own anatomy, not at fixed spots on the paper, so they sit where the organs are.

Two layers and the backpack straps cover the chest. The cardiac box is placed on the body underneath, with its top edge at the base of the neck. Score it the way your course of fire requires. Hits inside the outer lines count, and the inner squares and rings let you tighten the standard as shooters improve. The Range Manual explains how T-box, cardiac box and A/C scoring zones compare, and when to shift from the cardiac box to the head.
An E-type backer is the plastic or cardboard silhouette, 19.5" wide and 40" tall, that pop-up lifters and static stands on military and police ranges are built around. This target is cut to that same outline at 19" x 38", so the paper covers the face of the backer and the figure fills the shape from edge to edge. Hang it the way you hang any E-type facing.
The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.
Use it in a set with the hoodie and jacket figures to practice finding the chest under layers. Typical distances are 3 to 25 yards with pistol and out to 50 with a carbine.
Range masters, academy instructors and unit trainers who use E-type backers, and civilian instructors with silhouette stands who want armed figures that look like people an officer would meet.
A course of fire needs armed threats, no-shoots and hostage problems side by side. These five come from across the E-backer line:
