An armed female threat in visually busy clothing, with hair narrowing the face. It rewards a small, deliberate aiming point and suits head-zone work.
Hair falls over both shoulders and the open flannel splits the torso into three color bands. The graphic and its text sit low on the chest. The shooter has to pick the breastbone out of a busy picture.
An armed female threat with a lot of visual noise. It rewards shooters who aim small and penalizes those who aim at the middle of the busiest part of the picture. Hung among no-shoot and hostage targets, it is a threat the shooter has to recognize and stop.
Two kill zones are printed on this target. Both are placed on this figure's own anatomy, not at fixed spots on the paper, so they sit where the organs are.

The head circle sits between the falls of hair, and the cardiac box is centered on the dark shirt between the flannel edges. The nested squares and rings give you several standards on one target: the outer lines for a pass, the inner ones for instructors who want more. The Range Manual explains how T-box, cardiac box and A/C scoring zones compare, and when to shift from the cardiac box to the head.
An E-type backer is the plastic or cardboard silhouette, 19.5" wide and 40" tall, that pop-up lifters and static stands on military and police ranges are built around. This target is cut to that same outline at 19" x 38", so the paper covers the face of the backer and the figure fills the shape from edge to edge. Hang it the way you hang any E-type facing.
The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.
Run head-circle-only strings on this one. The hair leaves a narrower face than the male figures. It works on static stands, turning stands and pop-up lifters that take an E-type backer.
Range masters, academy instructors and unit trainers who use E-type backers, and civilian instructors with silhouette stands who want armed figures that look like people an officer would meet.
A course of fire needs armed threats, no-shoots and hostage problems side by side. These five come from across the E-backer line:
