A compliant woman with both hands up and a hostile expression. Clean by the hands and hostile by the face, it trains the trainee to decide on hands.

What the Trainee Has to Work Out

Both hands are empty and in plain view. Her expression is hostile and the words on her shirt are provocative. Neither is a threat. This is compliance with attitude.

Training Purpose

The cleanest no-shoot in the set by the hands, with a face and a shirt that argue the other way. It trains the shooter to decide on hands. Hung among armed targets, it is the one the shooter has to leave alone.

No Kill Zones: This Is a No-Shoot Target

You will not find a scoring line on this target. A head circle or a cardiac box would tell the shooter where to aim, and this is a person who must not be shot. The only passing score is an untouched target.

The rest of the line is scored by zone: a 4-inch head circle and 10-inch cardiac box on the armed figures, and a head circle on the gunman in the hostage targets. Cut to Fit the E-Type Backer

Most printed targets are rectangles that have to be folded or cut to fit a silhouette backer. This one is already cut to the E-type shape: 19" x 38", made to mount on the standard 19.5" x 40" E-type backer used on military and law enforcement ranges. The person on it is printed to fill that outline, so what the shooter sees downrange is a human figure and not a sheet of paper.

The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.

Instructor Notes

A good first no-shoot for new shooters, and a good fast-exposure target for experienced ones. Hang at least one no-shoot for every three or four armed targets.
