There is no head circle and no cardiac box, because there is no correct place to shoot this person. Any hole in the target is a failed decision.

The rest of the line is scored by zone: a 4-inch head circle and 10-inch cardiac box on the armed figures, and a head circle on the gunman in the hostage targets. Among them, this target tests the decision that comes before any shot. This one is already cut to the E-type shape: 19" x 38", made to mount on the standard 19.5" x 40" E-type backer used on military and law enforcement ranges. The person on it is printed to fill that outline, so what the shooter sees downrange is a human figure and not a sheet of paper.

The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.

Instructor Notes

Stage an armed target in the direction she is looking. Shooters who read her eyes find it faster. It works on static stands, turning stands and pop-up lifters that take an E-type backer.

Who This Target Is For

Range masters and trainers who want a no-shoot that is a real decision, not a silhouette with its hands painted white.

Product Details

Size: 19" x 38", die-cut to the E-type silhouette

Fits: standard E-type backers (19.5" x 40")

Figure: life-size

Kill zones: none.
