Inside it are 3-inch, 2-inch and 1-inch rings. The 1-inch ring is the X-ring, used for tie-breaks and zero checks.

Cardiac box. A 10-inch square over the heart and the large vessels above it. The top edge runs across the base of the neck and the box extends down the upper chest. Concentric 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch squares are printed inside it, with the 4-inch square on the heart itself.

Hard to see on purpose. Every line is a light hairline. The head circle sits on the shaded face inside the hood. The nested squares and rings give you several standards on one target: the outer lines for a pass, the inner ones for instructors who want more. This one is already cut to the E-type shape: 19" x 38", made to mount on the standard 19.5" x 40" E-type backer used on military and law enforcement ranges. The person on it is printed to fill that outline, so what the shooter sees downrange is a human figure and not a sheet of paper.

The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.

Instructor Notes

Useful under reduced range lighting. The shaded face is harder to read at 10 yards than shooters expect.
