It contains 3-inch, 2-inch and 1-inch rings. Use the 1-inch ring as the X-ring for ties and for confirming zero.

Cardiac box. A 10-inch square over the heart and the large vessels above it. The top edge runs across the base of the neck and the box extends down the upper chest. Concentric 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch squares are printed inside it, with the 4-inch square on the heart itself.

Faint by design. The lines are thin and printed in a light tone. You can see them when you walk up to score. From the firing line they disappear, so the shooter aims at a person and not at a shape.

The hands are held high, level with the collarbones, so the top edge of the cardiac box passes just under the pistol. Score it the way your course of fire requires. Hits inside the outer lines count, and the inner squares and rings let you tighten the standard as shooters improve. This target is cut to that same outline at 19" x 38", so the paper covers the face of the backer and the figure fills the shape from edge to edge. Hang it the way you hang any E-type facing.

The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.

Instructor Notes

Pair it with the phone and keys no-shoots at the same distance. The calm face is nearly the same on all three. It works on static stands, turning stands and pop-up lifters that take an E-type backer.

Who This Target Is For

Agencies and units that already shoot E-type silhouettes and want a person on them.
