Its center is at eye level on the bridge of the nose and its bottom edge sits on the upper lip. Concentric 3-inch, 2-inch and 1-inch rings are printed inside it, and the 1-inch ring serves as the X-ring.

Cardiac box. A 10-inch square on the upper chest, centered on the heart, with its top edge at the base of the neck just above the notch of the breastbone. Inside it are 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch squares. The 4-inch core lies directly over the heart.

Hard to see on purpose. Every line is a light hairline. It is readable at arm's length for scoring and invisible from shooting distance, which keeps the shooter aiming at anatomy.

The head circle sits between the falls of hair, and the cardiac box is centered on the dark shirt between the flannel edges. This target is cut to that same outline at 19" x 38", so the paper covers the face of the backer and the figure fills the shape from edge to edge. Hang it the way you hang any E-type facing.

The figure is printed life-size. Heads, shoulders and hands are the size they are on a real person at that distance, so sight pictures and hold-offs carry over.

Instructor Notes

Run head-circle-only strings on this one.
